Duravit provides children in rural areas with clean water and sanitation, enhancing the lives of thousands

In a world where access to basic amenities is a luxury relegated to a select few, Duravit has been actively enriching the lives of many for the past six years by upgrading government and trust-run schools, building better sanitation, water and smart class facilities. With a sincere commitment to their corporate social responsibility, Duravit has collaborated with Yuva Unstoppable, one of the leading NGOs in India working in the field of education, infrastructure upgradation and health & hygiene. The both of them have so far enhanced the quality of 25 schools, providing essential sanitation and clean drinking water facilities for students and staff. The initiative has benefited approximately 7,236 students and staff members and will continue helping thousands more, with Duravit’s steadfast commitment towards transforming more schools in the rural region of Tarapur, Gujarat in the years to come.

Duravit understands that a significant part of education for children is providing them with a safe and conducive environment to learn. Proper sanitation and the availability of clean drinking water are significant measures that play a huge role in making the learning environment a safe one, free from any potential illnesses or diseases which may arise due to the poor upkeep of these essential needs. Their initiative, titled School Evolution Project, ensures that every child gets the opportunity to fulfill their potential and pursue their dreams without being held back by a lack of necessary facilities. This initiative goes beyond just improving their immediate surroundings; it empowers them to build a better future for themselves. As a result, absenteeism among female students has decreased as they now have access to dedicated sanitation facilities.
