Taking off from this initiative, the dynamic duo designed three series of tiles called Love & Peace, Green and Architectural Patchwork collections showcasing nature and typographical motifs with words like love, peace, calm, pure etc that translate their imaginative synergies onto tiles.

We spoke to David about this stunning collection that helped the pair bag their first ever EDIDA. Here are some excerpts:

ELLE DECOR: What is the best part about winning an EDIDA?David Abraham: It is always an honour to be recognised for your work.

ED: What is the best way to describe your EDIDA winning collection?DA: If I had to sum it up, they are quirky tiles.

ED: Tell us about the major inspirations behind your EDIDA winning product.DA: Over the years we have experimented with different interpretations of calligraphy in embroidery, woven it in brocade, ikat etc so it seemed a natural fit for the Love & Peace tiles too. Our starting point was drawing on these themes that we work with for textiles and translated them onto the monochromatic tiles. Most of our home furnishings are black and white so we visualised a space where if you had an A&T bed cover with these tiles, it would be very homogenous. Our Architectural Patchwork range is based on the jali pattern and Green collection borrows from the leaf print; another great way to go the green mile.
