The elite from the design and architecture fraternity converged on March 29, 2017 for the Asian Paints’ annual ColourNext 2017 Mumbai launch, held in association with ELLE DECOR India, at Mehboob Studio, Mumbai.
For the first time, the four supporting trends were mapped by intangible representations through various performances. Zia Nath of Sufi Spendour eloquently exemplified the first trend Elixir, which plays on water’s various contrasts, by means of beautiful dance movements and soul-stirring music.
On the other hand, Nagaland based tattoo artist Mo Naga of Headhunters Ink captivated the audience by narrating India’s history of tattoo art to perfectly translate the Local Pride trend. Tapan Babbar transported us to the city of Varanasi with his simulating music and light show. He used the media to illustrate Bot is Human trend.
Renowned chef Prateek Sadhu of Masque restaurant satiated our appetite for life’s small joys by preparing a scrumptious slow cooked dish to signify the trend Slow Living. A series of installations designed by Ram Sinam were also showcased to display the season’s trending colour palettes at the venue.
The brand also presented some of their latest offerings from Woodtech Emporio PU, Royale Play and The Earth Series from Apex Ultima Wall Art at different exhibits accompanied by virtual reality booths and a ColourNext cafe.
