Global design company, West Elm, has opened its second store in Gurugram, just two months after it opened its first in Mumbai. The Brooklyn-based retailer is known for its original and modern designs for home decor. The store in Gurugram adopts a monotonous palette, making furniture and allied products stand out.

We are here to help create a space that reflects you and what you love. That means forward-thinking, problem-solving design that unites value, quality and responsible manufacturing.

Beruru, Bengaluru

Radeesh Shetty’s Beruru is a one-stop haven for plant parents, with the singular aim of bringing the outside in the most subtle and suave way possible. The stores in Indiranagar and Sadashivnagar reflect the tranquility the venture aims to bring into their customers’ lives.

Both stores, although varying in size, use white with a dash of colour here and there, and let the displayed plants and pots do the rest of the selling. The calm aura of the stores will make you relinquish worries and relish verdure.

Bent Chair, New Delhi

One of the most fascinating stores to set foot is in a furniture store. Bent Chair, a flagship store in Ambawatta One complex in Mehrauli, adds quirkiness to the mix with its bright and zany interior styling products. CEO and co-founder, Natasha Jain, says “The essence of Bent Chair lies in the eyes of the founders, creators, and designers that have worked tirelessly to build Bent Chair’s flagship store.”

Blown, Bengaluru

The salon feels less like a high-end salon and more like a hang-out space, which it also is! Thanks to the double sided rotating mirror stations, placed in the center of the space, enjoying the company of the friends at the wine cellar while still having a hair treatment done is now a reality.

“The concept was to go beyond the intricacies of hair and skin treatments and stretch to accommodate socialising. The unique program for the space meant we had to not only ensure the programs worked but also the visual and sensorial experience was harmonious”, states Brinda Kannan, the designer behind the serene Blown and founding partner & principal architect at Dutta Kannan & Partners.

Midori, Belgaum

Another jackpot for plant-parents is Midori, revamped by architect Shreyas Patil. Dressed in tones of black, white and wooden finishes, the green of the plants beautifully juxtaposes the mosaic-tiled store. 

The space gives off a cosy, homey vibe akin to that of a grandmother’s well-nurtured garden. Its simplicity and well-organised set-up brings calm and peace to the visitor much like potted plants lend ataraxia to corners they are placed in.
